IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Pauline
Cunningham
January 19, 1939 – July 1, 2019
Pauline Cunningham was born on January 19, 1939 to the late Charles White and Mabel Lackey White. Pauline was raised in Walnut Hills, the sixth of nine children, in which Anna Lee, Margaret, Billie, Ethel, James, Irene, Charles and Jeri, all preceded her in death.
She accepted Christ at an early age, was baptized and attended First Baptist Church in Walnut Hills with her family. Pauline's life was dedicated first to Almighty God as she lived according to the teachings of Christ. Later in life, she attended Lincoln Heights Missionary Baptist Church, Word of Deliverance and City of Destiny.
Pauline attended Douglass Elementary, Samuel Ach Middle School and graduated from Withrow High School. She married Joseph Cunningham in 1957 and raised six children, Brynda Leigh, Mark, Joanna, Michael, David and Daniel. Pauline was dedicated to making sure she provided a loving home for her family. She didn't seek employment until her children were older.
Pauline's first job was working as a nanny for families in the Jewish community of Roselawn. After years of creating a nurturing environment for those families, she sought employment at the Potato Factory in Paddock Hills. Her children shared fond memories of enjoying many meals she made with tasty potatoes. Pauline's career path led her to General Electric where she became a Non-Destructive Aircraft Inspector. She was responsible for using technical skills to conduct quality inspections on engine parts to insure QA compliance.
While employed with General Electric, she received recognition for her attention to detail and outstanding work ethics. Once General Electric closed in Paddock Hills, she relocated to the General Electric in Evendale until she retired. A yearly highlight for her family was attending the GE cookouts.
Mom enjoyed her retirement. God blessed her with the talent of knitting, crocheting and sewing at an early age. During her retirement and throughout her life, mom designed blankets, poncho's and clothes for our family and friends. One of her daughter's attended Woodward High School and was a flag cadette. Mom designed uniforms for the entire team without using a pattern. She was a fashionista and loved wearing elegant hats and stunning dresses to church.
Mom loved the horse races, walking in Winton Woods, shopping, reading Harlequin romance novels, TCM movie channel and spending quality time with her family. We have fond memories of her excitement for holiday events. Mom was like a kid in a candy shop! She would always write down the entire menu days before the event. The grand finale was cooking the meal for our family. She loved us so much and our family gatherings were very special to her.
Pauline leaves behind to cherish her memory six children, Brynda Leigh, Mark, Joanna, Michael, David and Daniel. Fifteen grandchildren: Aaron, Blake, Chadwick, Shaun, Heidi, Clifford, Phillip, Tyrell, Michael Jr, Asha, Maya, Cameron, Ali, Heather, Shannon and Noel. Nine great grandchildren: Kylia/Scarlett, Shawn, Kaylee, Gabriel, Taylen, Kameron, Kobe, Zoey, Nazir and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and special friends.
Mama, Grandma, Pauline will be missed tremendously by so many, but we will be reunited with her in Heaven one day.
Our family would like to thank our cousin Erika White. Mom was given 5 months to live in 2015. Our family witnessed God's miracle and grace with mom. Mom was too weak for cancer treatment, had several strokes, kidney failure and dementia. All of mom's children and Erika provided caregiving, so we could honor our mom's wishes of staying in her home, until she was in front of King Jesus in heaven! Hallelujah! All Praises to God!
